I just want to give a shout out to Silverlake automotive! I just got a new Jeep a Little over 30 days ago, come to find out some of my lifters are having some issues. I honestly googled repair shops and called the first one I saw, which was Silverlake automotive. Not only did they get me in super quick, they were very upfront and honest about everything. After the diagnostics, they were unable to fully help me due to their general practices, andthe cost of the repairs. But instead of just turning me away, they referred me to another auto shop, allowed me to leave my jeep there for a few days while I figured out towing, And went above and beyond to make sure that I wasn’t in a worse position than I was prior to going to them. I am thankful for their honesty, their upfront attitude, & how helpful they were. I’d like to give a special shout out to Jamie, As she was indefinitely, the most awesome woman to work with. Thank you guys again for being a reputable shop. I will most definitely refer people here as a first choice.

I do all my shock and brake replacements. No one has ever done shock, brake, battery replacement on any of my cars. I have a 2005 Chevy SSR. Got it in 2014. When they came out in 2003 they had a 5.3 engine putting out 300 horsepower. In 2005 they put in a 6.0 liter LS2 with 400 horsepower. Whoever bought this SSR didn’t think that was enough so they added a Magnuson supercharger. Now we have over 500 horsepower. I added Kooks exhaust header for even more. 456 horsepower at the rear wheels. Decided to replace the brakes and front shocks. This included rotors, pads, master cylinder. One problem, the front shocks are McPherson with the shock within the spring. The problem is I need to lift up the fuses and electronic junctions to access the drivers side shock tower. I am clearly out of my league. I did get some help. When complete and I take it for a test drive half of the electronics aren’t working. Got home and look for the problem. On and off for a year and a half. Charged up the new battery and low and behold it started up. Took it out and drove it around. Half the electrical not working. Windows won’t go down, top won’t go done, all the guages not working. Afraid to take it to the dealer. I ain’t rich. My neighbor Richard said he had great experience with Silverlake Automotive. I take it there, park it with the engine on, afraid to turn it off. Go in, explain my pitiful experience. They said it would take a couple of days. Two days later I get a call, SSR is back to normal, bill under $400. I am in shock. Oh, by the way you get a discount for being a veteran. My baby is back on the road. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Always great service. And they do their best to not charge an arm and a leg. They also are willing to explain why things should be done or why they can wait so as not to do unnecessary things. If you don't know. Ask. They ensure that my vehicle is safe to haul my precious cargo, my horses.
